Thankfully Sharing

While we don't have the metrics on the issue, we can tap empathy and realize that many (if not most) of public service starts out with some altruism.

As we spend a quiet, productive rest of gratitude, we can make space for gratitude in federal government leadership.

Unless in the job, we may not know the chaotic negotiation and political pulls in every direction, locally, nationally and internationally. W can share appreciation for the time sacrifices and for the individuals doing the work, however.

Unless a rejection of fire has permanently cast us in bitter mold, we warmly remember the personal humanities and bonds we have shared with those in Congressional politics.

Perhaps it is this gratitude that the public taps when determining the need for major overhaul. Perhaps the non-negotiable democratic process is a collegial kindness, one in which federal colleagues are reminded of their equal footing. Perhaps the public capacity and public weight to change, reform and redesign is actually drawn from federal leadership gratitude and respect. We always want the best out of others we care about. When we care enough, we set firm expectations.

And as gentle and tough reminders of equality in our United States democracy are a continued need, particularly in federal leadership, we can begin with gratitude for the public conversation.

We can earnestly express transparent messages, as well as reciprocate situational honesty, all in spirited posts: thank you for sharing

Happy Thanksgiving. May America's future tables be full, active and resolved from the games of hunger. With respect to individual life, liberty and pursuits, may the public lead the way.
